Learning events management and giving back to community

Cancer Research Fundraising at LCCA

Part of our event management practice in the top up hospitality management course, we have decided to organise a fundraising event for Cancer Research Charity. We have chosen this charity because this terrible health condition affects too many of our colleagues, friends or family members.  We are conscious of our privilege and responsibilities as community members and we strongly believe that no society can be healthy unless we take other people’s condition seriously. A charity act gives a sense of purpose and is not an optional extra in society, but is a must. Above anything else, a small charity act can nurture, and sustain our community, transforming it from an empty shell into a lovely place to be for all of us.

Let’s do it all together for the ones that we love and are in good health, for the suffering ones, and in the honour of the ones who lost the battle with cancer!

As Gloria Steinem said, “it is more rewarding to watch money change the world that to watch it accumulate”. The price of living is giving, and we believe that together, we can make the difference!
